|Use Your Democratic Rights|
Hold Your MP Accountable.
You don’t have to be an expert. By letting your MP know you support the Charter you can make an impact. Canadian democracy is built upon opinion and your vote. Lobby groups in Ottawa can influence politicians, but only you can put them in power. MPs know this. And when they see voters taking action, they respond.
8 Simple Steps To Take Political Action
Know Your Stuff
Read. Watch. Listen. Google. YouTube. If you have any questions about the Charter or the motivations behind the push for regulations, we are here for you. Call in or email your questions.
Telephone your MP regularly
About the Charter or your concerns about the erosion of our rights and freedoms. Each call counts. Calling regularly means your MP will know this is not a passing issue. Canadians have on-going concerns about protecting their natural health community. Each time you call you could focus on one aspect of the Charter which is important to you. This will help draw attention to specifics. Even if you are not able to reach your MP directly, if enough calls come in, the staff will pass it on. Even as few as 10 calls per day on one topic will be noticed by MPs. We learned that 2/3 of the MPs simply learn about new laws or the content of Bills second-hand (from the 1/3 that looked it over) This Charter and any NHP restricting Bills (with or without ammendments) is just too much for most MPs (who are just people) to wrap their heads around.
Does Your MP Knows About Or Support The Charter?
Remember, if our ability as Canadians to take care of our own health is to be preserved, it is this kind of legal safeguard we need to enshrine in law to protect us from corporate or Health Canada abuse.
Write Letters In Your Own Voice
Supporting the Charter of Health Freedom. It is important for MPs to see the letters stacking up. So please, take the time to send an actual letter.
Your greatest political tool as a citizen is handwritten letters asking reasonable questions and requesting a written response.
Did you know that a single hand written letter to your MP counts as hundreds? No Kidding. Parliament has an established rule that if 1 person took that trouble to write a letter it counts for many more people that feel the same way, but, do not take the time. When you pen your short or long letter KNOW that it is speaking for a 100 others.
Write your MP, our new Minister of Health, Prime Minister repeatedly and persistently.
Personally Express Your Support Of The Charter At Your MPs
Visit your MP and bring a copy of the Charter with you, that you can leave with them. It is best to highlight the sections of the Charter that excite you the most. Also place tabs on those pages so that you can quickly show your MP these sections.
Gather Support In Your Community, Workplace, Family Or Bridge Club!
Organize Charter of health Freedom information meetings in your area. This could be anything from a business meeting to dinner parties or rallies. Things will get interesting if you get interested. This will be sure to add to your character. Everyone loves a revolutionary.
Hold A Rally
You can hold a rally at your city hall. But particularly effective is holding a rally outside of your MPs office. Remember to print out the National Petition for the above two actions.
Contact Your MPs Supporters
Your MP is supported by campaign contributors, political volunteers, influential leaders and other
noteworthy citizens. Discover who these people are and educate them as to the issues and your MPs position, whether it is for or against.

The Charter Will Be Owned By You
The more of us who take action to really help change our current healthcare system (currently mired in a transnational policy mess with huge conflicts of interest) the greater impact we will have. Remember, Canada’s healthcare system is funded by you. Why shouldn’t you decide how it is run
